Here is a man who has a rightful place in the conversation about the best players ever to kick a soccer ball. When Pelé came to the United States in 1975, he was 50 years too early. He shows that MLS has arrived, or that it is still just a rest home for stars past their prime. To this, I might say: Who cares? None of us really have any clue what effect Mr. Messi is simply cashing in one last time before retirement. Messi’s arrival will be a watershed moment for American soccer, or Mr. When the world is gripped in the first giddy moments of excitement, we often either bathe in the rosy glow of optimism or assume the practiced role of the skeptic. Crippled America by Donald J. Trump6/28/2023 These Lowlifes & Misfits are far worse than the leaders of hostile foreign countries. “Hopefully he will get the full experience of being attacked by the Marxists, Communists, and Radical Left Lunatics of our Country, without which he will never know the kind of job he is doing. “I’d like to personally congratulate ‘Rob’ DeSanctimonious on finally announcing that he will be entering the race for President of the United States,” he wrote on Truth Social. Rolling Stone has also reported on Trump’s plot to “mindfuck” DeSantis by announcing a slew of Florida congressional endorsements as the state’s governor was in Washington trying to court them himself.Įarlier on Wednesday, Trump sarcastically congratulated DeSantis on officially declaring his intent to run. As previously reported by Rolling Stone, advisers close to Trump say his intense promotion of fellow candidate Vivek Ramaswamy is a “total ratfuck” against DeSantis. Trump has clearly singled out DeSantis as his primary rival in the battle for the Republican nomination, and the former president has more than just needling social media posts in his arsenal. German-American political philosopher Hannah Arendt coined the term 'banality of evil' as the subtitle of her 1963 book. Aqua Follies by Liv Rancourt6/27/2023 When they look at each other across the audience, a silent, yet powerful, link is formed. Skip is a horn player, whose music is hauntingly beautiful, and he plays in the Aqua Follies band. Russell knows what he is, that he prefers men over women, but that's against the law so he's determined to settle down and make a life with his girl, Susie. Russell is in Seattle as an assistant coach with his aunt's group, the Aqua Dears, a synchronized swim team performing in the Aqua Follies at the 1955 Seattle Seafair. As the book blurb says it was a time of postwar exuberance, conformity, rock and roll, and - homophobia. Aqua Follies is set in 1955 coincidentally the year I was born. It's the first book I've read by Liv Rancourt but it won't be the last. I'm not sure how to describe how I felt about Aqua Follies except to say that I loved it.

Falls Chance Ranch by Rolf and Ranger6/27/2023 Both of these men have a history which has jaded them with Noah being hurt by his first Master leaving him with trust issues that Tobias works to break down.Įverything is not plain sailing for these guys. They cover Noah’s and Tobias` emotionally painful first scene and move on through a fledgling relationship/training to Master and collard sub. I fell in love with these books instantly. They follow Vetanarian and Dominant Tobias and his sub Noah who is a city cop. There are five books in all, Domination, Submission, Bondage, Dicipline and Safe Words. I loved the Deviations series by Chris Owen and Jodie Payne It starts off a little slow and most of the sex is implied rather than explicit – but it is a very worthwhile read if you’ve got a little (or lot) of time on your hands. It starts Dale, a burnt out CEO who is sent to Falls Chance – a working sheep ranch in Wyoming – were the other main charaters run a program for said burntout CEOs “retraining bad habits into good ones”. It fetures numerous m/m pairings, one open relationship between five men and a lot of domestic discipline. It is a wonderfull piece of original slash. ‘Four books’ and lots side stories and still going. Nothing by xanthe (cause we all agree she’s utterly awsome and all her fics are a must read, and well…we’re on a forum of shamless devotion to her, so I think it can be assumed we’ve all read her stuff). Okay, honestly this is pretty much shamless begging on my partĢ.
